Construction Chemicals

Main RDP types used in the market

Redispersible polymer powders (RDP) are widely used in the construction industry for their ability to enhance the properties of dry mix mortars. The main types of redispersible polymer powders currently used in the market include:

1. Vinyl Acetate Ethylene (VAE) Copolymers

Properties: Good flexibility, strong adhesion, water resistance, and workability.
Applications: Tile adhesives, exterior insulation and finish systems (EIFS), skim coats, and repair mortars.

2. Vinyl Acetate Vinyl Versatate (VeoVa) Copolymers:

Properties: Improved durability, high weather resistance, good adhesion.
Applications: High-performance mortars, exterior wall coatings, repair mortars.

3. Acrylic Copolymers:

Properties: Excellent flexibility, UV resistance, adhesion, and weather resistance.
Applications: Exterior coatings, waterproofing membranes, crack fillers.

4. Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR) Copolymers:

Properties: High flexibility, strong adhesion, water resistance, and abrasion resistance.
Applications: Waterproofing mortars, repair mortars, tile adhesives, and flooring systems.

5. Ethylene Vinyl Chloride (EVC) Copolymers:

Properties: High flexibility, water resistance, and good adhesion.
Applications: Flexible waterproofing mortars, repair mortars, and flexible tile adhesives.
